Report Card (SARC)
In November 1988, California voters passed Proposition 98, also known as The Classroom Instructional Improvement and Accountability Act. This ballot initiative provided California's public schools a stable source of funding. In return, all public schools in California are required to prepare and disseminate information annually about themselves to the public through a School Accountability Report Card (SARC).Education Code (EC) 33126.1 states, "Local educational agencies shall make these school accountability report cards available through the Internet or through paper copies."
