Counselor's Corner
Dear Parents,
I am really excited and grateful to be back as an elementary school
counselor. Due to budget cuts I will be working 3 days a week at six
schools.
This means that I will be at your school every other week. Although
greatly
reduced, I am confident that I will make a difference with your
students, staff and you as parents that will be meaningful and
significant.
The Elementary Counseling Program is designed to complement the role of
the
administration, teachers, and parents in cultivating responsible,
resilient,
and successful lifelong learners. As your counselor, I will strive to
teach
students essential life skills such as cooperation, conflict
resolution, good
decision making, and respect for others, while concurrently building
self-esteem through assemblies, classroom presentations, parent and
teacher
consultation and crisis counseling. The following are some of the
programs
and options that I have mapped out and are striving to
implement.
