PTA REFLECTIONS PROGRAM

The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program that provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively, and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme.  The Reflections Program is also geared towards increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education. The Reflections Program was first established in 1969 by National PTA board member Mary Lou Anderson. To date, more than 10 million students nationwide have participated in the program.

Creating art is a great lerning experience, providing growth and enhancing development through self-expression. The PTA encourages students to pursue artistic exploration and receive positive recognition for original works of art, through participation in the annual Reflections Program.

The following students have gained recognition at the local, district, state, or national level for their 2010 “Together we can…” Reflections entry.
