COUNSELING CORNER

Problem Solving: Have a problem?  Concerned about your grades, your friends, or your life?  Sequoia counselors welcome the opportunity to help.  Stop by the Counseling Office before or after school or at lunch if you'd like to see a counselor.  If a counselor can't see you right away, fill out an "Appointment Request" slip and your counselor will call you from class.  Our counselors will be happy to help you with:

• course planning • improving grades • career interests • personal and social problems • study skills

Family Concerns:  We encourage you to contact the teacher if you have concerns about your child or the classroom.  If you have not been able to resolve the problem through direct contact with the teacher, please call your child's counselor.

Counseling Hot-Line:  Students and parents may also use our Counseling Hot-Line (498-8152) to leave messages regarding any concerns or issues.  Both the hot-line and Care and Concern Box may be used anonymously, if so desired.

Report Cards and Progress Reports:  All students receive a report card three times each year.  Progress Reports are given every 6-7 weeks between these reporting periods.

• Progress Reports Distributed: 10.14.2011, 1.20.2012, and 5.04.2012
• Report Cards Distributed: 12.02.2011, 3.8.2012, and the week of 6.18.2012

**All progress reports and report cards are given to students to be carried home, with the exception of Trimester #3 report card.**
